Cancer Diet Minerals

One of the very important aspects of the treatment for cancers is the cancer diet which involves the minerals. A good balance of minerals is required for all the cells to properly develop and function. This is because most of the cancer patients are found to be deficient in the minerals, which then further aggravates the cancer.

There are two basic classes of minerals that are required for the perfect cancer diet that involves the necessary minerals. These are the macro and the micro minerals. The macro minerals are the very well known ones that include the calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium and phosphorus. However the micro minerals are the less known variety of minerals still important to have certain traces in a balanced diet. These include the boron, zinc, iodine, chromium etc. It is important to note that indeed the best diet for the minerals is of the vegetables and fruits that contain all sorts of minerals.

Germanium is known to be very essential for the tissue oxygenation of the body, which is usually found to be low in the cancer patients. The low oxygenation of the tissues then promotes the cancer development. The use of iodine is essential in women, because the lack of iodine is several times linked with breast cancer. Some of the iodine rich foods apart from the table salt are the cabbage, the cauliflower etc. Selenium is another micro mineral that is known to be essential in the diet to prevent cancer. Selenium works along with Vitamin E and attacks the free radicals in the body, and it is also known to have the ability of fighting the tumors in the body.

The food sources that should generally be included in the diet to provide the body with necessary minerals are the brown rice, onions, seafood, whole grains, chicken etc.
